I am a #WWDMAGIC Correspondent. {well not yet!}

You know how much I love a good competition. During a late night tweeting session I got an extra special retweet from @WWDMagic. Which prompted me to follow them on twitter and then do a little blog surfing to see why my tweet was so special.

In case you are totally lost, WWDMagic is like the mecca of tradeshows for fashion. I found out that they're teaming up with select bloggers and Teen Vogue to create a lounge during the tradeshow. Bloggers are competing to become an official WWDMagic Correspondent. (that's me!!!) We were all asked to answer a few questions.

The Million Dollar Questions:

1. How did you start your blog? What was the creative inspiration behind putting yourself out to the world? As the self proclaimed "fashion's tweetheart", I found myself retweeting fashion posts (or images) and then engaging in conversations with my followers. One day 140 characters just wasn't enough and HeyBellaBlog.com was born. I am inspired by everything. Imagery, people, love, life, food, music, fancy stuff, celebrities ... the smallest things get my skirt swinging. BUT, I am in the process now of really trying to find a focus and stick with it - well maybe?
2. From where you began to where you are now as an independent writer, what are three valuable things you've learned about your craft? 1. Always stay true to yourself. Write when you feel like it and about what you feel like writing about. If it doesn't make your skirt swing (either for the good or the bad) don't write about. 2. Originality is key. No one will hear you if you don't have your own voice. 3. Love it because you are a writer with something to say. Not for the potentials of the business.
3. What is your personal style? I am a die hard indecisive Scorpio. So my style changes depending on my mood, if my hair is "done", and whether or not I have money in my purse. You might see me in a fancy dress from Tadashi or urban chic in Forever 21. You'll never put me in a box!
4. What brands are you head over heels in love with? I have daily fashgasms gawking at Jeffrey Campbell heels. If I were a dude (or brought my boyfriend fancy suits) I would so be in love with Perry Ellis and go broke dressing like those runway models. I've followed Christian Dior for years and if I were ever an actress I would wear one of those couture pieces to the Oscars.
5. What are three of your favorite websites? I have a routine when I get in. Twitter, TheYBF, and then I just search Google for "fashion news".
6. Who are three people you love to follow on twitter? @oscarprgirl (an awesome source for what PR girls really think), @jimshi809 (he knows what EVERYONE is wearing), and @fashmarketing (they're like my blog/website mentors - in my mind!)
7. What do you hope to gain from attending WWDMAGIC? In my never ending quest to upgrade my networking skills I think WWDMagic is the perfect place to cultivate more relationships. Ones that otherwise I probably would not be able to form. From meeting retailers, to professional bloggers, to manufacturers - what blogger doesn't want to go to WWDMagic?
