The Good, The Bad & The Fashionable @ the 2011 Golden Globes

This red carpet proved to be one of my favorites. Some of the best leading ladies graced the red carpet as if it were their own runway show. Showing off gorgeous Spring 2011 collections from some of the most fabulous designers.

Check out who wore what, who got my vote for the best dressed, worst dressed, and some honorable mentions.

Menswear is so attractive when done with simplicity. Most of the men on the red carpet choice well tailored suits and skinny ties. Love it!

I really think us curvy divas need to call an intervention session with Gabourey Sidibe. This look is dreadful and yes I agree with my tweethearts - it looks like a house coat. Trash and burn!

I cannot say that I hate this dress but I don't think it's appropriate for the Golden Globes. Fail!

I recently learned there was a curvy diva on Glee so I may have to begin watching. Amber Riley looks stunning in this sequin embellished gown. #CurvyRocks

No one talked much about Kyra Sedgwick but she was there rocking this mustard gown with all gold accessories. I definitely would have love this more in black BUT it's still worth mentioning.

This however is uber disappointing. This Romana Keveza gown paired with a 60's beehive hair do is such a disaster. I am hoping she loved it because I didn't! Trash and Burn!

January Jones went for a hot red Versace dress. I will say her hair and makeup distracted me from how horrible the top of this dress is.

This is such a classic Calvin Klein gown worn by Emma Stone.

That little itty bitty bow on this Prada dress worn by Nicole Kidman can kick rocks.

Such a tragedy that Julianne Moore went with the asymmetrical Lanvin gown instead of Tom Ford. This color is horrible and I am not sure why the sleeved material comes over the collar?

After seeing the images of JLo in this Zuhair Murad gown it's not THAT bad, but this has to be a last minute dress?

Black Swan star Mila Kunis looks gorge in this deep green Vera Wang. (this green was a trend tonight)

Sofia Vergara also looked to Vera Wang for her design talents. This crimson gown which hugged her curves looked amazing.

Helen Bonham Carter channeled her Alice in Wonderland character with this uber ugly Vivienne Westwood gown. Check the shoes?

Leighton Meester has one of my favorite looks for the evening. This Burberry Prorsum gown flatters her shape and she rocked it perfectly in this pose.

Humph you can't tell Ms. Berry nothing in this Nina Ricci lingerie. She does get a huge uber fab wink wink for always having flawless makeup and hair.

Viktor & Rolf should stick to making perfumes because Natalie Portman is dreadful in this gown.

Angelina Jolie made a good choice with this floor length jaw dropping green Atelier Versace.

What's more prettier and joyous than Catherine Zeta Jones in this Monique Lhuiller emerald city green gown - Michael Douglas looking and sounding better!!

Oscar de la Renta strikes again. Loving this pale pink on Lea Michelle.

I had the pleasure of attending the Spring 2011 Jenny Packham fashion show during NYFW in September and I know exactly how great this dress really is. But Sandra Bullock doesn't pull this off well.

Can you say "Old Hollywood"? Scarlett Johansson looks absolutely amazing in this nude Elie Saab gown.

Christina Aguilera shows her after child curves in this Zuhair Murad gown. Unlike Jenny from the Block this one is a keeper!

AND NOW FOR MY TOP 3 BEST LOOK OF THE 2011 GOLDEN GLOBES (in my Ted Williams announcer voice, LOL)

Anne Hathaway is one of my favorite actresses. And apparently Giorgio Armani loves her too. This gown looks like it was made for her!

Eva Longoria pulled out this "freak-em girl dress" with an amazing Zac Posen gown.

One of the first dresses we saw on the red carpet by Marchesa. Their showroom must have been busy. I definitely would not have paired it with those gold spiked Louboutins but if Olivia Wilde would have keep her dress down we would have never known.

Love Love Love most of the fashion's tonight. See you at the Oscars!

P.S. CHECK OUT SOME GOLDEN GLOBES STYLE & MAKEUP TRENDS and LEAVE A COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW YOUR FAVORITES!

  1. So I must agree with everything EXCEPT for Natalie Portman. I thought she looked radiant, and I think it was more than the pregnancy glow. I do think one of the most disappointing things on the red carpet was the hair. I hated Sandra Bullocks bangs and I so love Olivia Wilde but hated her hair.

It was fun on the red carpet with you. Funny how I got several email asking me if I was in LA.....lol. I so love social media sometimes.

Next stop Sag Awards....see you at there ;)

  2. WoW! You're fast! I think Anne Hathaway's dress is my fav! I think Natalie Portman was trying to cover her baby bump.

  4. Thanks guys! I actually didn't watch the awards (smacks hand) so I was able to work on my post while the awards were on. Plus tweeting during helped me figure out who wore what.

  5. My favs are Emma Stone I LOVED her in Easy A and Zombieland, she looks GORGEOUS as a blonde!! Anne Hathaway always looks AMAZINGLY put together, fell in love with her in The Princess Diaries and she hasn't missed since. And my last one is Amber Riley I'm so glad to see her out of Torrid designs, don't get me wrong I love my Torrid divas but she looks so glam!!! Can't wait to see what else she comes with on the red carpets.
